Lady Gaga was born on 28th of March, 1986 in Yonkers, New York, United States and was named Angelina Joanne Stefani Germanotta. She colored her hair in blond color because when she had black hair was always confused with Amy Winehouse. Her stage name - Lady Gaga - was inspired by the song 'Radio Ga-ga of the Queen band. Before trying to launch in the show-bizz, she attended the University` s Tisch School of the Arts in New York.

Her debut album, called "The Fame", launched in October 2008, reached number one on tops in Austria, Great Britain, Canada and Ireland and the fourth in Australia and the United States. By July 2009, thee sales of the material have exceeded 3 million copies. The CD "The Fame" included hits like "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi". In 2009, Lady Gaga has won three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards and was named 'Rising Star' at the event known as Billboard Women In Music.

On January 6th, 2010 Lady Gaga won two trophies at the gala People `s Choice Awards 2010. She defeated Adam Lambert, Demi Lovato, Kris Allen and Susan Boyle at the category 'Favorite Music Breakout Artist`. The second section where won Lady Gaga is the “ Favorite Pop Artist”, and she had as rivals Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Black Eyed Peas.

On February 11, 2010 Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Lily Allen British were the big winners of the Virgin Media Awards 2010. The Eccentric Lady Gaga received the trophy for "Best Album".

On February 16th, at the Brit Awards 2010, the artist of only 23 years old at that time, won the award for best international singer of the year, for the best album "The Fame" and the revelation of the year. With of lace on her face and a huge wig, the winner devoted her awards to the British designer Alexander McQueen, who committed a suicide a week before the Awards.
