Anthony Hopkins was born and spent his childhood in Wales. The young Anthony spends most of his time alone, drawing or playing the piano. He was not really attracted of school, his grades were not the most awesome and was not in a great relationship with his colleagues. When he was 17 he started to go at the courses of the college of music and drama Cardiff. After this he was for two years in the army.

In 1960, Hopkins attended the school, "Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts" where he graduated three years later. In the next period Hopkins starred in several theatre plays. He met here his future wife, Petronella Barker. Together they have a daughter named Abigail. After their separation, he married to Jennifer Lynton. Hopkins became highly recognized for theater plays in Great Britain, in roles as Claudius in "Hamlet", or "Lion In Winter". Although initially he appeared only in theater with time he changes the perspective, and divorced from his second wife and moved to America. His debut on Broadway was signed in 1974 in "Equus". He starred next to Mel Gibson in "Mutiny".

Anthony Hopkins starred in many plays on stages in Great Britain, and his first television appearance was in 1967 in the film A Flea in Her Ear. Although he loves the theater more than cinema, he became famous when came in United States. In the 90’s he plays in movies like Desperate Hours / Hours of despair (1990), The Silence of the Lambs (1991), which offered him his first Oscar for the Best Actor, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) with Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder, The remains of the day (1993) which bring a new Oscar nomination, Legends of the Fall (1994), nominated and winner of the Oscar and Nixon (1995 ) directed by Oliver Stone, which brought the third Oscar nomination. Then come the film Surviving Picasso, artist & Demons (1996), Amistad (1997) - movie brings the fourth Oscar nomination, The Mask of Zorro (1998), Meet Joe Black (1998) and Instinct (1999).

The treasures of his career also includes films Bad Company Hopkins / bag (2002), The Devil and Daniel Webster / The shortest way to happiness (2004), Alexander / Alexander (2004), Proof (2005) with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jake Gyllenhaal , All the King's Men (2006) with Sean Penn, Jude Law and Kate Winslet, Fracture (2007), Beowulf (2007), You Will meet A Tall Dark Stranger / You will meet the foreigner of your dreams (2010 ) directed by Woody Allen, The Wolf man (2010), Thor (2011) with Natalie Portman and The Rite(2011). These are just few of the films which certainly fascinate us, because all the roles played of Hopkins are amazing and incredible. The roles are extremely interesting and extraordinary, relating some strong feelings that make the film memorable. He has some incredible films that highlight the majesty of his career.
